Downy Woodpecker Field Bag

This bag features the downy woodpecker–the smallest woodpecker in North America.  Even though they are only about 6 inches long, they make a lot of noise.  Males have a red patch on the back of their head while females do not.  They perform a courtship display called the “butterfly flight” before nesting where the male and female fly together with their wings held high and flapping slowly.

This bag is perfect for birdwatchers, hikers, and all nature enthusiasts.  Made of 100% hand-loomed cotton, all bags have a 1.5″ black nylon webbing strap (adjustable to 62″), side pen holder and back zipper pocket.  You might use for your journal, field guide, water bottle, or binoculars.  The bag’s interior is a scoop-shaped design for easy access.  Handmade by women artisans in Nepal. Fair trade.

Bag dimensions: 8″ W x 10″ T with a 2″ gusset.
