Prothonotary Warbler Enameled Pin

The prothonotary warbler is a small songbird, named for its bright yellow plumage which resembled the robes once worn by papal clerks (known as prothonotaries) in the Roman Catholic Church.  The prothonotary warbler is the only member of the genus Protonotaria and the only eastern warbler that nests in natural or artificial cavities.  Prothonotary warblers are declining in numbers due to loss of habitat.  Your purchase of this pin can symbolize not only your affection for this bird but proceeds will go to support their protection.

Please select the Johnson County Extension Education Foundation for EMN Prothonotary Warblers (JCEEF) or the Greater Ozarks Audubon Society (GOAS) as your beneficiary.
