The male wood duck is so stunning that its scientific name, Aix sponsa, means “water bird in a bridal dress.”

This ornament was created by artisans on Isla Solentiname, Nicaragua.  Inspired by nature, each ornament is carefully hand-carved and painted with bright colors.  The material is sustainably harvested balsa wood and non-toxic acrylic paint. Fair trade.
